So, I am not an expert here people. By all means, I am brand spanking new to (public) blogs and how to effectively make money off of them and all that. I have been learning since last November on how to monetize and list, add RSS feeds and put myself on those social networking sites and all that. I have become active in the communities, forever reading and writing, listing and reading some more.
I have spent many hours tweaking my blog to be easily accessible and easy on the eyes. I change things up rather frequently when it comes to my side bars here because I feel that a blog always needs to remain fresh. Not stale and bleak for years on end. Sure - sometimes it is fine, but for me it’s not.
In most blogs I have read, most of them remind you over and over on how to target an audience, blog for your readers and all that.
“How to this” and “how to that” seem to be all the rage. “Provide a service” and so on….But the more I read the more I realize that a good amount out there are in it just for the money. That is all fine and good - for them. I mean that’s what most people DO get into it for.
But to me I need to write about other things too. I need to know that my readers like me for what I have to say.
My daily life, my hobbies, my reviews and all that. My rants, my ups and downs and my stupidly funny videos that I might find.
I need to know that not only do they come here because I have honest and thoughtful reviews and they can trust what I have to say. But also because my stupid antics made them smile. Made them have an otherwise bad day and turn it into a good one. I don’t care if I only am up to 150 words, or my picture might not be the best one. Or maybe I am not the brightest crayon in the box. I am staying true - to myself. And also to you, my readers.
And you know what? Something is working, because I am making money here and my Alexa rank has gone from 1,995,444 - 995,599 and now it is at 744,646. and it has been a bit under 2 months I believe.
So, my goals for this blog are as follows…
1. To get as many subscribers that I can.
2. To constantly provide quality - real life content.
3. To make a decent amount of money off of my blog, from either click ads or reviews.
4. To never forget where I came from and always stay true to myself.
That’s it I guess. That’s all I really want from this blog.
A little money, A buncha readers and a lotta fun.
