Hacking and software errors are annoying!

I am seriously a bit annoyed with my blog (and people) today. First of all, I noticed at the beginning of the week that some of my stuff had kinda "disappeared" from my widgets assortment. My Amazon link, my "Spott" card, (it looks like the Entrecard one) etc... At first, I didn't pay all that much attention to it because I know that stuff like that happens all the time. Especially when software programs are new - they tend to be pretty unstable. And I have noticed that I can't get a good amount of plugins to work with the new 2.5 here.
But, then one of my fellow bloggers, last night pointed out that they were "getting popups" at my site. This annoyed me a bit more because I have nothing scheduled to be "popping up." This could be on my end - (if something was somehow hacked and something was written into my page) OR it could very well be her end (her browser has a security hole somewhere and it was put into her BHO area- to try and redirect her) But, then... this got me to thinking even more... (partly, because I am an Aquarius and that's what we do :) ) There are SOME people out there (I have noticed) that don't seem to be too happy, and give me attitude either because:
- I get an ok amount of traffic, while I actually don't really sweat the small stuff.
- I don't go crazy with submitting, I only submit to a few sites. I write, I watch and chose my keywords carefully, and that's about it.
- My Alexa (however inaccurate!) is dropping because people are starting to come to my site a bit more.
- I am a gurl blogger that wishes to make money (and I am) off my site by just being - me.
So, honestly - my blogging has never been all that hard. Sure, frustrating at times to think of what I can be writing - in which case, I don't. But, other then that - It's been good. And it's been actual FUN. I meet (for the most part) a bunch of nice people. Also, I have noticed there are also a lot of kid hackers out there that think (despite what I preach) that they are "cool" cause they are learning all the ins and out's of hacking, stealing and so on. So, the more "popular" my blog gets - the greater the risk of getting hit. But what really pisses me off is the fact that IF my blog was even attempted to be messed with, that is just a down and dirty nasty thing to do. Regardless of who is doing it. Plain & simple. Ok. I am done complaining now. :)
