Not much change here in the home front. I guess I am just not going to make my deadline of 125lbs by May 1st.

Honestly, I don’t know what is going on. I guess though I am pretty frustrated this week. I measured myself and the only thing that changed was my hips (39 in). I lost an inch in my hips. Big friggin deal. lol.

Everything else has stayed the same.

Yesterday, while walking/running on my treadmill, I must have stressed something because today my right ankle hurts. It’s not swollen or anything, but considering my past… I decided to forgo the treadmill today. I WAS going to still go on, but decided to give my ankle some added rest. It could be the new running shoes I have. I only used them twice, and really have not broken them in. And when I was walking yesterday, my legs did feel a bit stressed.

Great - I can almost hear the fat popping out. :(

I am really frustrated though. And today - I feel defeated.

I just do not understand why I have hit this weight plateau. I am mad and also disgusted at myself.

I am following the same guidelines as before. Like I said before - The only thing I am not doing is my treadmill for an hour everyday! I am at 30-40 minutes.

I guess I am just going to have to increase my walking again. It must be the key to my weight loss. I will do better next week I hope. Just gotta keep pluggin along. It’s the only way to get it done! I have been 125lbs before - I know I can be that weight again!

If you really want to make that deadline I cannot help, but it is going to take a lot of discipline. First you need to ride your body of sugar and carbs. You do not need to do this forever but for two weeks, eat only meat and water. No bread and only green vegetables. You can eat all the cheese and and egg whites that you want though. You will get tired after about 3 days of doing this but after the 6th day your energy level will pick up again. This starves the body of carb energy and forces it to use fat as a energy source. After 2 weeks you can start adding some carbs back to your meals, but never use a lot of them. Also remember that rice is linked to obesity. Stay away from all noodles, pasta, fruits, candy. You do that and continue to exercise I guarantee you that you will reach your goals.

Dwayne, You can help? Or cannot? :)
Thank you for the tips. Is this like the Atkins diet? That’s what it reminds me of. I will try to follow these ideas.
I sent you an email with regards to this topic! :)

Don’t get discouraged, we all hit that wall while dieting. The last time I weighed 125 lbs was high school…..and I ain’t anywhere close to that weight now.

Tammy, Thank you very much. When I was in high school- I weighed 99lbs! Those were good times…lol … :)

I too have been delaying the running and the general working out. Since it’s April now I was suppose to start jogging last week, but we are expected to get almost a foot of snow tonight, so that plan is kinda shot. Keep up with it, and work into it slowly. Don’t try to be a marathon runner in the first few weeks.

Chris, Thanks. I am trying to take it slow. Sometimes though, I wonder if I will ever be able to run, as a lifestyle… I fear I might just have to be a “walker” the rest of my life. That stinks. :(

Don’t let it get you down babe. Losing an INCH on your hips IS a big frickin’ deal! The way your pants fit will tell you that. :)

Cinn, Thanks hun! I usually go by that. I did happen to step on scale yesterday, and it said I lost a lb….so, we will see…

I get discouraged sometimes as well. Then I have a small motivator pop up and it gets me going again.

I don’t know what diet you are on but I do weight watchers and there are a couple of foods they recommend for getting off a plateau: cherries, almonds, and salmon. I’ve only done the cherries and it has kept me losing in the past.

Maybe you just need to change up your foods or maybe the speed or incline on your treadmill.

Catherine, I think you are right. I actually just did that - changed up my treadmill routine. :) I am not really on a diet - but am making a lifestyle change.
