The pregnant man controversy.

This post is probably going to bring me a lot of crap, and I am not writing this to offend anyone. That is not my intention. But, I am seriously tired of hearing about it. Let me start by saying - This is not a “miracle” in the sense that a man is having a baby.

You all know who I am talking about?

Ya, I figured you would. I’m talking about all the latest buzz on the “Pregnant man.” that has been in the news lately. Or rather - all the time… 24 freakin 7.

Mr. Thomas Beatie started out as a woman. A 100% woman. He is now a trans gendered man who underwent re constructive surgeries and also hormone therapy but did not have his ovaries and uterus removed.

I’m sorry people. He is still a woman. We are talking, deep down - inside, organ wise. NOT what is on the surface.

If I cut my hair off, got a manly looking cut, decide to not shave my legs, and pitts, and take hormone therapy - I’m gonna be looking like a man in no time. Seriously. Am not kidding here….

But - I would still have my womanly parts, deep down inside my very being. The parts that decide that I am a woman. Uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes. EGGS. etc…

So, even though I would walk, talk and display myself as a man, my organs would be telling me otherwise.

But - If I started shaving my legs again, stopped the hormone therapy and let my hair grow longer, and also start using my makeup again - I would be back to being a woman!

Why? Because those damn hormones man!

Let me just state - right here - right now….

I am not a religious fanatic or anything like that. I DO NOT think it is wrong for him to be having a baby. I think it is awesome that he has been able to get pregnant and give his wife a child! They wanted to have a baby, so they did what they could to have one. This is something that is private between the both of them. Kuddos to him for being brave enough to go through all this controversy and still have the balls (no pun intended) to stand up to all the nuts out there.

What I am tired of is the damn media calling it a “miracle” when it is not.

He still has the female organs that he was born with.

It is a trans gendered man having a baby… NOT a “man” having a baby.

Ok. That’s all I have to say. You all can send me hate mail now.

I agree with everything you stated and wish people would understand the biology behind what is happening. The media doesn’t help at all.

Denise, I think that people get caught up with the *hype* and forget the actual content of it! I almost choked on my lunch when I heard 3 GROWN MEN talking about it at work… lol. They all looked terrified - like it was gonna happen to them…lol. Luckily, I set them straight.

Jay, you are correct. He - is still “technically” a She. He walks, talks and acts like a man, but still has his reproductive - GIRL parts. HE is still, a SHE. No matter which way you slice it…
