Meet Mark Givens, single and looking.
This post is a long time in the making. It should have been done a long time ago. Like a month ago actually.
In between losing a week of internet thanks to my power supply box frying out on me, my constant battles with a guy friend, (we use to date but decided to just be friends, which has been REALLY kinda stressful at times) and then my whiny self pity trip because I an still NOT losing the weight that I wanted to. ( that will be another post) and the fact that I work 5 days a week, come home, run/walk the treadmill and then do an hour of strength training!
I have just not wanted to take the time out to write a review for a friend. Sorry my friend - I was bitten by the lazy bug. 
Anyway, I am here now - writing this post for a really nice guy. He seems really funny, smart and also seems to have a great knowledge about blog building and just also happens to be a really good writer too!

So let me start by saying - While at the Entrecard site I happened to click on the romance category. cause….I will drop my card anywhere. 
When I happened to see this ad…
I really thought that this was a cool idea. And pretty original too. So I dropped my card at his site and read a few posts. I was really impressed at what I was reading, so I offered to post a review about him. I thought, why not get the word out right? Any little bit helps. I am always looking to fix up people, cause even though I myself most likely will never find *the one* I am all for others finding their twin souls! And if I could be of some assistance, then that would be great!
I poked around his site some more and I loved this page - “101 things about me”
A nice list of what he likes/dislikes/ and so on. Here are ten of them.
- He does not smoke
- He isn’t the partying type.
- He is a Vegetarian.
- He wears glasses most of the time.
- He does not have a preference for blonds, brunettes, redheads…
- His web browser does not have any bookmarks in it!!!
- He loves metal detecting
- He was married only once.
- He does not drink alcohol.
- He does not take drugs.
Mark, is a really nice, down to earth guy who has decided to take a chance and look for the girl of his dreams online. Like a lot of us - we have used online dating services.
He has just decided to take his one step further and make his own dating site. Nothing wrong with that. I say, all the power to you my friend!
Here he is around 2003. He is a great looking guy and deserves a great woman! Now - are you going to be that woman? Do you know of a friend who is single and looking? Send her this post. After all, we all gotta take chances!

Mark - True… Very true.
I think I’d have a problem with number 6. on that list. How could I love a guy who doesn’t have ANY bookmarks on his browser? I have hundreds of them. Isn’t that something that happens as we become more and more tech-savvy? Or is it just because I’m completely disorganized and tend to gather clutter?
Good luck on your hunt for the perfect mate, Mark. It’s a rough world out there and it’s always far better shared with someone special. Long distance can be tormenting but I believe a strong, trusting, and sharing relationship can last through any hardship.

Rebecca - LOL…I know it… I bookmark everything! Then I categorize it into seperate folders! And when THAT gets messy - I delete those that I have not used for a month.

I’ll try to add a few — maybe.
Well, I don’t know about all women but so long as your bookmarks aren’t ALL porn sites it seems natural to save some interesting sites from time to time. I mean, the only way you could really get away with not using your browsers bookmarks is if you’re a del.icio.us worshipper (or some other similar social bookmarking site).
*ponders* Given the time I spend on computers other than my own I really should get into the social bookmarking scene more.

Mark - no worries. I don’t use bookmarks either unless they are temporary reminders to go back and check out a website later when I have time and then it gets deleted. So you are not alone.

Hmmm…this is a bit old and I wonder if Mark is still looking for a woman. If you’re the Mark I think you are (the links to your blog are not working), I live in your part of the world, and a friend of mine recently went climbing with you….so we know of each other by way of mutual friends. And although I have a boyfriend, I would be happy to be your wing man (wing woman?) and help you find a nice girl.
If you’re not the Mark I’m thinking of, I wish you good luck in your search.
