The Verdict is in.
It seems that people are Ok with older women dating younger men.
Well, that’s taking into consideration what the ages are.
I think you all remember the poll I was running for this past week with regards to men being able to date older women? I asked you all to tell me what you thought about it. The first post I wrote on Feb 17th created a pretty good buzz it seemed, so I thought I should look into it a bit further.
Well, I had a total of 14 votes to my poll. I wish I was able to get more people involved with the voting, just so I could have a wider perspective of how people are thinking. But the votes I did get showed me that people are pretty much divided down the middle when it comes to the difference with the ages and also that they do indeed think it’s ok.
In the poll, I asked weather or not it was ok for younger men to date older women, and the results are as follows:
7 voters chose yes.
7 voters chose “it depends on the age.”
0 votes for no.
Only TWO were my regular readers though - I figure that is because most of you had already answered me via the comment section…All the rest were logged as guests. What I find pretty interesting was, there were zero, “no” votes.
So, maybe society (at least the 14 people society…lol) seem to be ok with it.

Yeah, I agree. I see no problem in people from different ages having relationships. I think what matters the most is the feeling they have for each other. And the same goes for younger women with older men. As long as there’s love, there’s no problem at all!
Fabio, I agree, but I think if the age gaps are much too great then it becomes hard to relate. My mom and dad had 36 YEARS apart in age. I will never, for the life of me understand that one. lol. My mom must have needed a father for sure…

Very interesting discussion….seems to be very topical now. I am sure it’s a turn on for some young men.
I would go with the 2nd option as I think beyond a certain age difference it gets awkward…
JJ, Me too. (I just mentioned that in my prior comment) I think, it flows both ways though. Younger guys might see it as a conquest type of thing, and older women see it as revisiting their youth. lol.

I see no problem with an older woman dating a younger man. Or an older man dating a younger woman. As long as they are happy, why bother them? Me and my fiance are 15 years a part. We’ve been together for a year now and are now expecting a baby. We’ve known each other for about 5 years now. I couldn’t be any happier. As long as we are ok and my family has no problem with it, it doesn’t matter what anyone else things. =D

I think my limits been 10 years younger but thats where it started to get very weird purely because of our age. These days it wouldn’t be anywhere near as weird i dont think.
