Seasonal affective disorder – be gone!

Sheesh, It’s been a long while since I have been here. ::starts clearing away the cobwebs::

Like a whole season if I am not mistaken! So much for having a blog and dedicating myself to it, huh?

Not too much has happened since I have last posted. Same ol same ol really. I did however delete my Twitter account for this blog. I just never really used it all that much, so in the process of eliminating stuff I no longer use or was taking up space on my blog, I decided it was best if that went bye – bye.

I have another Twitter account that I use that is basically for me to just update, so I am no longer worrying about marketing all the time. It’s nice to follow people because they are interesting, and not jut for marketing purposes! I follow a lot of fitness people too – so it helps with my weight loss. (yup…still trying to loose weight!)

And I can also periodically go through those that are just on my followers list for advertising, and I don’t feel guilty about deleting them!

I am so happy that winter is finally over. And I look forward to the spring and summer months. I have such awful  “Seasonal Affective Disorder“  it’s not even funny anymore. It actually was a smidge better this past winter, but only by about 1%.

I really need to touch base with my “new” Dr. I will be seeing in July. I can’t go through another season of this S.A.D.

In one of my “pissy moods” and arguments with my bf last winter, I deleted just about all my “personal” stuff here on the blog, so in the small chance you might be looking for stuff a bit more personal about me, ummmm, you really won’t be finding it. lol.

I am spiteful like that. Just so ya know.  :)

Today, I just felt like writing, so when updating my plugins and checking my spam, I decided to give it a go. Who knows when the next time will be that I update so please forgive me if you don’t hear from me for another 4 months!

I do love reading and answering my comments when they come. Kinda makes me feel like an “advice columnist” at times..lol.

Mostly, I just get spam, but the occasional real comments are always great to read and reply too. I still get just about all my traffic from that post I did, back in Feb 2008. It was about dating a younger guy – and it actually seems like a pretty common occurrence!

Anyway, I’m off to play my Sims2 game I think. Have not played for a few weeks! I am actually trying to avoid my housecleaning ..I am so lazy on the weekends!

What’s your New Year’s resolution?

Has it really been that long since I last posted? I really do not know where the time has gone. I’m glad we are into a new year though. Seems like 2008 wasn’t so good. This year – 2009 is the year I win the lottery. :)

I spose I should go and buy some scratch tickets or something huh?

Oh – Happy New Year everyone! This will be my first post of the “New” Year.

Honestly, I suppose my “resolutions” are the same. I need to lose weight. Just 20 lbs I spose. I am currently 138 again. Was 125 a long time ago. That was even before I started blogging I think.  Hoping to get to like 115 by the summer. The only way I think I will be able to successfully do that is by cardio. That and of course my weight training too.  When I was running/walking the 3-4 miles a day I was loosing a good amount. I was down to 125lbs and looking and feeling good. Honestly, I do not know why I stopped. I think it’s my “Bi Polar” weight loss syndrome. :) I wrote about it here.

Thankfully Christmas came and went pretty quickly. You all know how I feel about Christmas. I could really do without it. To me, it means nothing and presents are given because “that’s what you are supposed to do.”

My daughter though, loves Christmas. She got me an I Pod Touch for Christmas. It is amazing little piece of technology. I am so totally hooked on it. Talk about fun. I have not even played my World of Warcraft this week because I have been playing with my Ipod! My daughter and I went out the day after Christmas and shopped at the mall all day. That was so much more fun than Christmas! We had a blast pissin money out the window! :)

I cashed in some of my PTO time from work. I used 80 hours. I will get 75% of my 80 hours in a check and I plan on spending that at the mall too. After I pay a couple bills I want to at least take half of it and buy some stuff I want.

I want to get a new pair of Nike sneakers that work with my IPod to record my walking/running. The kit is $30 bucks and the sneakers will run me about $100.00. But if it actually motivates me it will be worth it. You put the little sensor in the sneaker and it records the run time/calories burned, distance and all that.  Then I just gotta take it and uploaded it to the Nike Site and it measures my progress. Pretty cool I think. :)

I suppose I should dedicate my time to this blog more too. But I know how I am. I start out with good intentions, but they just eventually fizzle out. I do that with a lot of stuff. Crafts, fitness, ideas, etc. maybe I should be looking up why I do that all the time. lol.

My thoughts are – I get bored with it. Or I don’t see the results I want so I move on. My brain is in continual thinking mode and I just can’t turn it off!
